The overall atmosphere felt worn down. the carpets were damp and stained, giving a less than inviting vibe. An unpleasant musty smell lingered throughout the room, and the furniture seemed to have seen better days. I found hairs from previous guests in the shower and a layer of grime on the older chairs, making comfort hard to find. The TV had poor reception, and the lack of a functional alarm clock just added to the inconvenience. Noise levels fluctuated, with disturbances from guests, including rowdy behavior outside my door. Additionally, some guests had dogs, leading to occasional barking that might not sit well with everyone.

We stayed at this lodge with our three young kids and loved visiting Lakemont Park, which was just a short drive away. The kids enjoyed the rides, and we appreciated having a nice, spacious room to come back to after a fun day.
In my wife’s opinion, the breakfast lacks variety for families.
